PRACHIN BURI
 
Prachin Buri is an eastern borderland. It was a civilize city of Dvaravati Kingdom, until Lopburi period in 800 years ago. There are the traces of ancient Dvaravati cities and many nature resorts for eco-tourism.
 
The town was later moved from the old sites to the side of Bang Pakong River, the current place. The town was called "Mueang Prachin" since Ayuthaya period and it was changed to be a province in the reign of King Rama V.

There are ruins of abondaned cities at Khok Pip district of Amphoe Si Maho Sot. To the East, the ruins of ancient village is also found at Ban Khok Khwang of Amphoe Si Maha Phot, where there are religious architectures and matters scattered in that area, such as Buddha images, God images, earthen wares, bronze utensils, etc.

BOUNDARY  :  NORTH = NAKHON RATCHASIMA SOUTH = CHACHOENGSAO EAST = SAKAEO WEST = NAKHON NAYOK
AREA SIZE  :  4,762 SQ.KM.
